How would you take the screen protector off?
I have an RCA 54" television. I was wondering if anyone had a way for me to remove the screen protector from the television set to clean it.

Hmm, must be the PTK 178 chassis...
Although it states it's a CTC 178 chassis, that brings up info on the Direct-view CRT, which doesn't help us here.
So, I guess it's OLD, and no longer listed on the RCA website.
Which means the info is on a old CD...which means I may not have the OLD CD to help you.
So....do you have a cloth grille UNDER the screen? Pull it straight out...it's got BIG KNOB-Sticks that lock that grille onto the cabinet, so try pulling it straight out gently at first...
Then get your shoulder into it with a fast jerk if it doesn't unlock...
Of course don't pull it if you are not sure it comes off....
Generally I know which ones come off to reveal the screws you remove just under the screen, then lift the entire screen UP to remove it....
But I'd actually have to see your TV set to know how to remove the screen assembly....
THEN you have to remove the interior screens to get to the screen protector....
So....provide me a picture of the entire FRONT, then the grille, THEN the edge BEHIND the grille...(there may be screws you have to remove there, especially if it's a PLASTIC Grille)
But I think the PTK 178 has the cloth grille that you pop off from the front....
