Why can't I control my thoughts?
Usually when I'm in bed trying to sleep, for example.. last night I was lying there imagining me and my friend at the pub, I was walking from the bar to the table with my pint in my hand but the pint kept tipping from side to side and dropping out of my hand, no matter how hard I tried I could not get it to be stable. Eventually I managed to stable it, but this was sort of overlaid over the thought of the pint tipping.
Another example is the other night when I was thinking about a memory of when I was in London, a bus went under a bridge, but in my thought of it, the bridge was too low and the upper level of the bus kept smashing into the bridge, I just couldn't stop it.
Does this happen to everyone? Or is it just me? What's going on?

i think its more common than you may think
i have always had similar thoughts and more recently when im laying in bed at night something disturbing even pops in my head like the thought of a loved one being killed. i usually turn the tv on to take my mind off of it.
